Eligibility

Who is eligible for FTT certification?

To be eligible for FTT Certification, tourism businesses must:

• be based in Africa
• have been in operation for a minimum of one (1) year

The business must generate at least 50% of its revenue from operating one of the following tourism products or services:

• accommodation
• activity, e.g., whale watching, zipline, etc.
• attraction, e.g. botanical garden, museum, etc.
• facility, e.g., spa, event venue, etc.
• food service (table service, not take-away / similar)
• volunteer tourism
• community tour (an independently marketed, packaged day tour involving the same 3rd party suppliers every time)
